In 1956, the first Vandra Marathon was held, and it remained an annual event until 1994. After a 19 year hiatus, a team of runners from Health Club Mispo revived the race in 2013. Now, it has become a well-known midsized run in Estonia, even earning second place in the best midsized run category last year. What makes it special is that it offers something that larger running events cannot: a small town welcoming atmosphere, a barrel sauna, and a small carriage converted into a sauna. Plus, if you have the time, there’s a live music afterparty with dancing that awaits you.
