Trabzon International Half Marathon

Trabzon, the Emerald City of the Black Sea Coast, boasts a rich history that dates back to 2000 BC. Although its founders remain unknown, it is believed to have been established by Turkish tribes of Central Asian origin who migrated from the Caucasus. As one of the oldest international marathons in Turkey, competitors will have the opportunity to witness the many historical and cultural sights that have survived from the Roman, Byzantine and Ottoman eras. An expo area is also set to be organized prior to the marathon day, featuring various activities and events such as concerts. Prizes such as cash awards and trophies will be given out as well.
