The Lake Cumberland Half is an endurance race benefiting Habitat for Humanity of Pulaski County, Kentucky. Participants begin their journey crossing the Houseboat Capital of the World Bridge, traverse scenic routes through Bronston, Burnside, Ferguson, and culminate at Somerset Community College. Competitors include overall top finishers and age group categories, receiving themed merchandise and finishers’ medals. Parking is provided only at Somerset Community College with shuttle transport for racers. Races will proceed regardless of weather, though lightning may prompt adjustments. Participant safety is prioritized with traffic closure actions, race officials’ guidance, and support from local law enforcement and volunteers.
