The Katy Pie Run

Why is this race different? What other race offers you PIE TASTING Stations while you run/walk  every 1K? What other race has a bunch of the BEST restaurants in Katy/Fort Bend County competing in a Brunch Item Throwdown where you decide the winner and a slice of Proud Pie to eat with us or take home with you at the end of the race?
The 3rd Annual Katy Pie Run hosted by Proud Pie and benefitting Camp Hope, part of the PTSD Foundation of America with 100% of the proceeds going to Camp Hope.
This amazing program houses, provides no cost treatment and offers hope to combat veterans suffering from PTSD.  They offer a soft place to land, housing, peer counseling, job training and time to make a good transition into everyday life.  The organization not only treats the individual, but they offer services to benefit the whole family.  Participants of this program come from all over The United States of America.  Join us in a great run AND in helping this organization to continue to do its good works.   
Come out Saturday January 18, 2025 for some physical activity, fresh air, fun and along the run there will be water and PIE shot stations offering tastings of our various scrumptious pies.  After the run, enjoy amazing brunch throw down foods from some of Katy’s most popular restaurants AND our Proud Pie Trailer.  
FAQs – Frequently Asked Questions
Can I register the day of the race?  No. There is no race day registration but there is same day packet pick up if you cannot make the pick up dates. 
Where can I pick up my race packet and when?  Packets may be picked up at Proud Pie located at 3522 South Mason Road #300  Katy, Texas 77450 during the following times:
Saturday 1/11 10 AM – 2 PM
Tuesday 1/14 4 PM – 7 PM
Thursday 1/16 4 PM – 7 PM
Friday 1/17 10 AM – 2 PM and 4 PM –  7 PM
Where can I park for the race?  Limited parking is available at The Fellowship.  There is additional parking at the back lot at the YMCA, Williams Elementary and at The Villagio Town Center across the street.  
Can someone else pick up my bib and race packet?  Yes.
Does the race still happen if it rains?  Yes,  We reserve the right to cancel in extreme circumstances.
What if I register for the 5K and decide on race day to run the 3.14K or 3.14 Stroll?  If you run a race you did not register for, you will not be an official finisher or timed.
Can I run in more than one race?  Yes, but you will need to pay for each race.
If I cannot participate in the run, can I get a refund?  No.  Your entry fee will be used as a donation to Camp Hope.
Are strollers allowed on the course?  Strollers will only be allowed in the 3.14K run/walk and the 3.14K family stroll event and we ask that you move to the back of the pack to avoid obstructing other racers.  
Do I need to register an infant if he or she is in a stroller?  No you do not need to register an infant.  Anyone NOT in a stroller must be registered to be on the course.
Can I wear headphones while running?  Yes, but we highly discourage this due to traffic on the main roads.
What is the course limit for the 5K?  The course will be open to traffic starting at 11:00 a.m.  
Can I bring my dog(s)?  For the safety of our runners, dogs are NOT allowed on the race courses.
Are bicycles allowed on the course?  Bicycles, skateboards, roller blades, scooters, etc. are not permitted on race courses.
Can I exchange my shirt for a different size?  Unfortunately, we will not be able to exchange shirt sizes.  Please make sure you order the correct size when you register.  The shirts are unisex sizing.
Is there medical support on the course?  Yes.  Medical support is provided. 
Where do I put my bib?  Pin your race number to the front of your clothing and make sure it is visible throughout the entire race.  Pins are included in your racebag when picked up.  
Are there water stations?  There will be manned water stations throughout the courses at the pie tasting stations and at the finish line.
What are the pie tasting stations provided by Proud Pie?  There will be race sponsors handing out shot type samplings of some of our most popular yummy pies.
What is the brunch throw down and pie at the end of the event?  At the finish line post race, there will be fantastic warm and chilled brunch buffet items to sample prepared by your favorite local restaurants. You will be given a token from the token table at the finish line so that you can vote on your favorite restaurant entry. There will also be a station to turn in your other token for a slice of Proud Pie pie.
How soon can I find the race results?  Race results will be available online by noon on the race signup site.
Can I purchase extra Katy Pie Run t-shirts?  There will not be extra shirts.   
Are there awards?  Each person who completes a race will receive a completion medal.

Come join us on July 4, 2026 at Lake Perris Dam Perris Ca to celebrate our 1st Annual Independence Day Run.  Event details and scheduleMoreno Valley Road Runners Club will be celebrating our 1st Annual Independence fun run at Lake Perris State Recreation Area Dam 17801 Lake Perris Drive Perris, Ca 92571. On July 4, 2026, at 7:30 am. What: Don’t miss Southern California’s best fun run tradition! There will be a 1-mile kids race (ages 12 and under) and adorable little Trotters run (ages 3 and under). Everyone is welcome! Where: Enjoy a historic course along the Dam, referred to as The Lake Perris Dam. You’ll pass by such a notable lake. What a great way to see the beautiful lake in the morning. Course: The race starts and finishes at the Dam. This is a flat long course with no traffic. When: July 4, 2026. Packet picks up open at 7:30 Am.  Race Start Times:The little trotters run starts at 8:00 AM, The kid’s 1-mile race starts at 8:15 AM, the 5K and 10K start at 8:30 AM. Awards: Top 3 boys and girls in the 1-mile race, Top 3 open Males and Females in the 5K and 10K cash price.  Top 3 cash price in the 5K $100, $75 and $50. Top 3 cash price in the 10K, $200, $175 and $150.  Giving away: Medals to all participants and 50 first sign-ups will get a t-shirt. Fees: Little trotters are free (ages 3 and under), the kid’s 1-mile race is $5.00, the 5K race is $20.00, 10K is $25.00. All fees are the same on race day. ABOUT THIS EVENTThe 5k course is on flat, paved roads in Kerkhoven. The 10k course is mostly paved roads with about 1.5 miles of mowed grass on the golf course. There is also a short distance of gravel road. Water stops every couple of miles. After the run, there will be children’s games and a children’s tractor pull, a flea market, firemen’s feed, kiddie rides, swimming and a parade, all part of the annual Kerkhoven Town and Country Days.Please feel free to stay and enjoy the day.
