The Great Ferry Race offers a unique race experience starting with a scenic ferry journey from downtown Seattle to Bainbridge Island. Participants disembark at the ferry dock to embark on a trail and road course around Bainbridge Island. The route is challenging with hilly terrains, and a portion is on groomed trails. Local residents can participate without ferry transport, and there are registration discounts for those under 18, seniors over 65, and Bainbridge Island residents. After the run, a post-race festival awaits before the return journey.
