The DAM 8
The DeRuyter area offers three road races across various scenic routes, highlighting the beauty of the landscape with its five valleys and streams converging at the village. Participants can experience both road undulations and a notable “heartbreak hill” at one marathon event. Running through four distinct counties—Madison, Onondaga, Cortland, and Chenango—each race begins and finishes at unique county-specific locations. While the marathon courses explore all four counties, the half-marathons exclusively traverse Madison, Onondaga, and Cortland counties. Throughout the courses, runners will experience natural wonders, notably marked by the picturesque overlooks of Highland Forest.
