The Top of Michigan Festival of Races supports the Top of Michigan Trails Council and the Petoskey High School Track and Cross Country teams. Set along the scenic Little Traverse Wheelway, this nonmotorized trail stretches from Charlevoix to Harbor Springs, featuring mostly flat, paved sections, with some grassy and dirt paths. Races start and finish in Petoskey and connect into Petoskey State Park. Participants benefit from refreshments, finisher medals, and awards for top runners. The event takes place at Bayfront Park and early registration offers reduced entry fees for participants.
