Run Palooza 2021 presented by the Greenville Track Club is a multi-distance Spring running festival! This inagural event is filling the void left by the legendary Reedy River Run which has been postponed ’til Labor Day weekend.
Run Palooza 2021 has been specially designed to appeal to the occasional runner as well as the everyday runner. It has great swag and one-of-a-kind bling for double and triple “slammers” – runners who complete multiple race distances.
Race Format. Run Palooza uses the proven Virtual Plus race format developed by the Greenville Track Club. Virtual Plus uses acccurately measured race courses and accurate camera-based timing. This means you can depend on the results to be consistent and the awards to be fair, which is not the case with other races that use smartphone GPS timing apps.
5K, 10K and 15K Distances. Run Palooza offers 3 race distances.>>The “River Walk” 5K is an out-loop-and-back course that’s scenic, relatively flat, and just plain fun!>>The “West End” 10K is a single loop course that goes north on the Swamp Rabbit Trail, passing by Swamp Rabbit Cafe and Hampton Station before returning to the Kroc Center by way of the Hampton Pinckney Historic District.>>The “Big Kahuna” 15K is a mashup of the 5K and 10K. Runners will basically run the complete 10K course and “tag” the start/finish line before embarking on the 5K course. Participants may also choose to run the 5K course first, then the 10K course. We don’t care – it all adds up to a 15K!
