We welcome the return of Run Like a Girl 5K/10K on Sunday, August 4th, beginning at 7:30am. As the title suggests, this is an all-female event designed to encourage and promote health and wellness regardless of age or previous running/walking experience. Sponsored by Avina Women’s Care, our 2024 event has partnered with The Ohio State Fair and Historic Crew Stadium to provide a full day of fun and exercise. Best of all, a portion of the proceeds will benefit the March of Dimes.
Run Like a Girl gives participants two options: 5K (3.1-miles) or 10K (6.2-miles). The 5K is open to runners and walkers, while the 10K is for runners ONLY! At 7:30am, both races will start together inside the Historic Crew Stadium. The course will pass the Ohio Historical Society and head directly into the front gates of The Ohio State Fair. The entire fairgrounds will be open to RLAG participants only (with the public opening at 9:00am). Participants will weave their way pasts hundreds of exhibits, ride, displays and concessions before returning to Crew Stadium. 10K participants will repeat the course a second time before entering the stadium. Note. Groups of 4 or more receive a $5 discount per person. To qualify, you must enter the names of all members together during the registration process.
Finishers will be greeted at the finish line with a beautiful custom medal along with refreshments and recovery snacks. Did we mention tickets to the fair? Every participant will be issued a ticket to enjoy the rest of the day having some post-race fun. Participants can also purchase discount tickets ($8) for family and friends who will be attending the race with them.
Race Day Parking: It’s free! Take the 17th Avenue exit off Interstate 71 and follow the signs and street cones leading to the stadium.
