Lace up your running shoes and join us for the 8th Annual 5K & 10K Run for HER, an empowering event for athletes who want to make a difference. Your participation will support women survivors of human trafficking in their journey towards freedom, safe community, and recovery. The race takes place on the stunning trails of Norm Schoenthal Island, situated alongside the Yellowstone River on the south side of Billings. If you can’t make it to the race in person, challenge yourself by running virtually from wherever you are. This athletic event benefits the HER Campaign, an organization dedicated to helping survivors of human trafficking transition to economic independence. The estimated 40 million victims of human trafficking worldwide, including tens of thousands of women in the US, underscore the urgent need for immediate support. Survivors often face overwhelming odds, with limited access to emergency shelter and long-term care, leading to high rates of re-victimization.By participating in this run, you contribute to bridging the significant gap in residential care. The HER Campaign is committed to empowering survivors through therapeutic programming and stabilization measures, providing them with essential resources, support, and a nurturing community to help them thrive. Your run not only tests your physical limits but also helps transform lives.
