If you cannot pick up your packets in person at the above location and at the right time, you must decide on a representative to do so. Any out-of-town participants may pick up their packets on race morning at the registration area located at Loma Colorado Park (next to Rio Rancho Aquatic Center).

The Start is within a short distance from the finish (just west of the Rio Rancho Aquatic Center and Park. approx… .25 of a mile on Loma Colorado. in front of Rio Rancho H.S. Performing Art Center.)
Race Day Registration and Timing Chip Pickup will take place at the Loma Colorado Park Parking lot, located just west of the Rio Rancho Aquatic Center. Please note that all participants who wish to be included in the race results and eligible for awards must wear a timing chip/bib. All bibs must be worn on the front and be visible at all times during the event.
PARKING:
PLEASE USE DESIGNATED PARKING AREAS ONLY. DO NOT PARK ON ROADS OR PEDESTRIAN/BIKE PATHS. AVAILABLE PARKING AT RIO RANCHO AQUATIC CENTER AND RIO RANCHO LIBRARY (JUST NORTHEAST OF AQUATIC CENTER). PLEASE NOTE: THE RIO RANCHO PERFORMING ARTS CENTER HAS AVAILABLE PARKING AND IS CLOSEST TO THE START OF THE 10K AND 5K.

START INFORMATION:
The start location for the 10K and 5K is just west of the Rio Rancho Aquatic Center and Park — approximately .25 of a mile west… in front of the Rio Rancho H.S. Performing Arts Center. The Hobbler Gobbler Kids K starts on the south side of Loma Colorado Park.
All races will start promptly at the designated times listed above. Allow plenty of time to get to the Start Line to seed yourself according to your projected pace. If you are driving to the race, plan to arrive early. See parking information above.
This race is a Gun Start with a Timing Chip finish. The “official time” will start when the gun/horn goes off. NOTE: ALL RACES WILL START ON TIME, SO PLEASE BE AT THE START 10-15 MINUTES BEFORE THE START.

There are three ways to register:
You can register online at www.irunfit.org; the deadline for online registration is Wednesday, November 27, 2024, at 8:00 p.m.You can also register by mail. I can no longer participate in the race (injury, scheduling conflict, etc.); what are the RunFit refund/transfer policies for the race?
All entries are non-refundable.  Once we’ve received and processed your entry, you will not receive a refund, you may not give or sell your race number to other people, and entry fees are not transferable to next year’s race or any other race.You can transfer your entry to another person for $10.  This can be done at packet pickup before race day.  There will be no transfers on race day.If you call or email about a refund, you will be directed back to this page.Can I still get my shirt if I cannot attend and have already registered?
·       No. Sorry.On my registration, I misspelled my name and age, and I recently moved. How can I fix this?
You can self-edit your registration through Friday, November 22. Afterward, please call the office at 505-217-4774 or e-mail [email protected]Can I defer my entry to next year if I cannot run/walk this year?
Participants cannot defer their entries to the next year if they cannot run. 
PACKET PICK-UP INFORMATION
If I’m pre-registered, must I bring my identification to pick it up?
 It is not required, but bringing it’s always a good idea.Should I pick up my race bib and shirt at packet pick-up?
·It is not required but strongly suggested so you avoid waiting in lines on race day and guaranteeing your shirt size.Can someone else pick up my race bib and shirt?
Yes, both can be picked up by/for family and friends.  It’s always a good idea to bring your confirmation e-mail.Can I have my packet mailed to me?

How is this race timed?
The 10K and 5K races are officially timed using the disposable B-tag timing system.  Timing chips are attached directly to the back of your bib number and are to remain adhered to for the duration of the event.Where can I see my results?

COURSE QUESTIONS
Where can I park on the morning of the race?

You may walk any of the events. However, for the safety of everyone, the police may ask you to move to the sidewalk if you do not finish the race within a certain time.For how long will the course be open?
· The route will stay open until 11:30 am. Police, at their discretion, will move you to the sidewalk if need be.Where are the water stop(s)?
·There will be two water stations for the 10K (Mile 2 and 4) and one for the 5K. (Mile 2)Are there restrooms (portable toilets) along the course?
Restrooms are available for the 10K just after mile 3.Am I able to bring a stroller to the race?
Yes. We ask that any baby strollers start the race at the back of the pack so as not to create any trip hazards for other participants when the race begins. Note: Your child must always be secured in the stroller. Am I able to bring my dog to the race?
·Yes. Since we are not holding the event in Loma Colorado Park, you are welcome to bring your dog. However, we ask you to keep your dog on a short leash and clean up any mess he or she may cause.Where can spectators, friends, and family watch the course?  Can they be at the start or finish areas?
All are welcome to check out the NM Hobbler Gobbler at the start (Loma Colorado Ave., just west of the finish) and finish (Loma Colorado Park). You can be at the different mile markers and water stops. Please be cognizant of traffic and the participants as they run/walk. Please listen to police/security instructions as well. We recommend staying at the finish to see your friends and/or loved one’s finish under the giant RunFit inflatable!Can I wear headphones on the course?
Yes, you can. Please consider keeping the volume low enough to stay aware of your surroundings and any directions or announcements given audibly by race personnel, police, or other runners.Can I run with my GPS device?
Yes, participants may wear their GPS watches or devices. However, these items do not count as “second timing devices” and will not be recognized by the event as official times or distances.What is not allowed on the course?
For everyone’s safety, baby carriers, baby backpacks, inline skates, motorized scooters, bicycles, skateboards, and animals of any kind are prohibited from the course. Note: See information about “dogs”. Strollers and baby joggers are permitted on the 5K course only. Strollers and baby joggers must start at the back of the pack, and your child must be always secured in the stroller.

Is there a bag check?
·       Yes, bag check will be located at Loma Colorado Park’s registration area, which stays open from 7:30-11 am.
Does the event benefit a charity? How can I donate?
Event proceeds benefit RunFit, a nonprofit, 501 (c) 3 organization benefiting before, during, and after school running programs for children to help combat childhood obesity and build community.
Do you have a Lost and Found in case I lose something at the event or the racecourse?
Yes. We will have a Lost & Found for lost and found items on race day. If you are missing a personal item, please stop by the registration table at the event and/or call 505.217.4774.

INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY:
Weather forecasts will be monitored before the event, paying particular attention to the possibility of heavy rain, thunder and lightning, high winds, and extreme temperatures. If necessary, athletes will be made aware of these predictions on the RunFit website: www.irunfit.org so that participants can properly prepare for severe weather during the race and possible course alterations. Severe weather updates will also be sent to participants via email as necessary. The Race Director will monitor the weather and decide if any action will be taken to modify the race. Possible changes include altering the start time for the race or, in extreme situations, cancellation of the event. Please listen closely to all public address announcements at the race’s starting line. Visible lightning will cause the race to be postponed for a minimum of 15 minutes. Additional sightings will continue to delay the race in 15-minute increments. If extreme heat is predicted, the athletes will be provided extra water before, during, and after the event. The medical team will be alerted that athletes may require additional medical attention during and after the
Safety is our top priority at the NM Hobbler Gobbler Thanksgiving Day Run. We have medical personnel on-site. In an emergency, please find a volunteer in a bright vest or approach any event staff member for assistance.
Participants are encouraged to:
Stay hydrated throughout the race.Dress appropriately for the weather conditions.Listen to instructions from race officials and follow course guidelines.We are committed to providing a safe and enjoyable experience for all participants. If you have specific medical conditions or concerns, we recommend consulting with your healthcare provider before participating.

What to Bring November weather in New Mexico can be unpredictable, so plan to dress accordingly. Thanksgiving-themed attire and costumes are encouraged!  
MEDICAL SUPPORT:
Medical staff members will be ready to assist you at any time. Radio communications personnel will be positioned at every aid/water station throughout the course.
The event officials have the right to withdraw any runner from the race that appears distressed or at risk. You will be directed to the Medical Area near the finish if you have a health or medical problem at the Finish Line. Please cooperate if you are asked to go for a checkup. If you need help at any point, please ask for it!
If you cannot finish the race for any reason, please notify a race official of your bib number so that the medical personnel know.
FINISH INFORMATION:
The overall and division award winners will be announced at the Awards Ceremony on race day immediately following each event.
10K:
Overall prizes will be awarded to the top three men and women determined by gun time.
Age group prizes will be given to the top three finishers in the following categories for men and women: 15 and under, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80+.
Award times will be determined by gun time.
5K:
Overall prizes will be awarded to the top three men and women determined by gun time.
Age group prizes will be given to the top three finishers in the following categories for men and women:   9 and under, 10-12, 13-15, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59,

GOBBLER CHASE KIDS K:
All registered participants (11 and under) are eligible to participate in the RunFit Kids K. The run will begin at 10:15 in Loma Colorado Park, just west of the Rio Rancho Aquatic Center. All participants will receive a special recognition award at the finish.
POST-RACE:
Post-race refreshments will be held at the park.

Come join us on July 4, 2026 at Lake Perris Dam Perris Ca to celebrate our 1st Annual Independence Day Run.  Event details and scheduleMoreno Valley Road Runners Club will be celebrating our 1st Annual Independence fun run at Lake Perris State Recreation Area Dam 17801 Lake Perris Drive Perris, Ca 92571. On July 4, 2026, at 7:30 am. What: Don’t miss Southern California’s best fun run tradition! There will be a 1-mile kids race (ages 12 and under) and adorable little Trotters run (ages 3 and under). Everyone is welcome! Where: Enjoy a historic course along the Dam, referred to as The Lake Perris Dam. You’ll pass by such a notable lake. What a great way to see the beautiful lake in the morning. Course: The race starts and finishes at the Dam. This is a flat long course with no traffic. When: July 4, 2026. Packet picks up open at 7:30 Am.  Race Start Times:The little trotters run starts at 8:00 AM, The kid’s 1-mile race starts at 8:15 AM, the 5K and 10K start at 8:30 AM. Awards: Top 3 boys and girls in the 1-mile race, Top 3 open Males and Females in the 5K and 10K cash price.  Top 3 cash price in the 5K $100, $75 and $50. ABOUT THIS EVENTThe 5k course is on flat, paved roads in Kerkhoven. The 10k course is mostly paved roads with about 1.5 miles of mowed grass on the golf course. There is also a short distance of gravel road. Water stops every couple of miles. After the run, there will be children’s games and a children’s tractor pull, a flea market, firemen’s feed, kiddie rides, swimming and a parade, all part of the annual Kerkhoven Town and Country Days.Please feel free to stay and enjoy the day.
