It is estimated that 25,000 runners will be congregated at Øster Allé in September for this IAAF Gold Label race that has become globally renowned for its swift, central Copenhagen course. As in past years, a large and diverse elite of competitors from both Denmark and beyond will be present to attempt to break world-leading times.The route encapsulates the best of the Danish capital, covering Inner Copenhagen and Frederiksberg. It is incredibly swift, highly accommodating for spectators, and displays numerous city landmarks. As the participants traverse the course, they will pass more than 20 power zones and entertainment venues for the enjoyment of both runners and spectators.Not only does the course serve as a tour of Copenhagen, it also provides the perfect conditions for fast running. Wide roads with asphalt surfaces, gentle curves, and extended straight stretches give recreational runners and professional athletes alike a fantastic racing experience.
