Taking place on the beautiful Hawaiian island of O’ahu, the Honolulu Marathon is one of the largest in the US, drawing a large international field of 25,000 each year. Participants are treated to a (relatively flat) beautiful coastal route which culminates in a finishers festival in Kapi’olani park, where you can celebrate with your finishers medal, shirt, malasadas and other post-race treats. The Honolulu Marathon (unlike most races) has no cut-off, so is truly a race for all runners, regardless of speed. The race weekend also offers a 10k distance and the Kalakaua Merrie Mile, so there is something for everyone! Honolulu itself is a vibrant tropical destination offering cultural sites, beautiful beaches and outdoor activities, all set against the backdrop of lush mountains and the Pacific Ocean.
