The Hero Half Marathon is a charity race organized by The Spark Foundation in collaboration with Fayetteville Firefighters’ IAFF – Local 2866. Proceeds support local organizations improving community fitness and well-being in Fayetteville and Arkansas. The event focuses on encouraging personal achievement, rewarding participants who surpass their own finishing times rather than competing for age group awards. Firefighters can take on the Firefighter Challenge, running in full bunker gear. A comprehensive training program is available, offering personalized coaching and additional race-related benefits. Participants are encouraged to register early to secure a race t-shirt and other perks.
