Attention athletes! Get ready to challenge yourself at the Helping Hands Half Marathon, 5K, and 1-Mile Fun Run in Florence, AL.This event, organized by the Helping Hands Foundation, a 501c3 non-profit, is rooted in the community’s spirit of resilience and support, following its formation after the April 27 tornado outbreak. With a strong belief in community upliftment—”a rising tide lifts all boats”—the foundation partners with local organizations and teams to create a positive impact.The event headquarters will be the Marriott Conference Center, located at 10 Hightower Place, Florence, Alabama 35630, where ample parking is available.Race packets can be collected on the day before the race from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, and on the race day morning from 5:30 AM to 6:30 AM.Race schedule:- Half Marathon: Starts at 7:00 AM, with a 3.5-hour time limit.- 5K: Starts at 7:10 AM, with a 1-hour time limit. – 1-Mile Fun Run: Starts at 8:00 AM. Costumes are welcome!Post-race festivities include the 5K Award Ceremony shortly after the last runner finishes, with costume contest results announced immediately thereafter. The Half Marathon Award Ceremony will follow around 9:45 AM, once all half marathoners have crossed the finish line.Join us for a day of fitness, community, and fun!
