This is the first year Welcoming Hearts is adding this Fall/Halloween race through beautiful Gemini Springs, to raise money to support programs for our local special needs community. The 10K and 5K are both USATF certified courses and will be chip timed. PLUS because we’re racing around Halloween we’re giving away some great prizes for Best Costume and Best Family Costume! 
Welcoming Hearts is a non-profit organization whose mission is to enhance the quality of life for all individuals with special needs by providing information and support to individuals, families, professionals and the community through education and social settings. Since its inception in 2015, Welcoming Hearts has been providing social opportunities for families through playdates, teen club and mom’s/dad’s nights out.  In addition we have family events for Easter, Summer, Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas, giving families the opportunity to celebrate when they otherwise wouldn’t, due to their children’s needs.
Also Welcoming Hearts hosts an annual resource fair, bringing out local organizations and businesses who provide resources or services for the special needs community.  We continue to work on getting resource information into pediatrician/specialists offices to hand out to families in need.  Our long term vision is a facility to allow us to expand our programs to better service the special needs community, like day, after school and summer programs. RACE INFORMATION
* Final pre-race packet pickup and race day information and updates will be emailed to all registered participants and volunteers the week prior to the race.

INFORMATION
Race Location: Gemini Springs – Oak Tree Area (37 Dirksen Drive, Debary, FL 32713).
Course Information: The course takes place on the Gemini Springs paved trails; conditions depend on the weather prior to the event. The 10K and 5K are chip timed and the courses are USATF certified.

EVENTS
*Everyone is welcome to participate!  All participants of the 10K and 5K will have chip-timed results that will be posted online.  All Welcoming Hearts, Inc. events are inclusion events: anyone of any age, skill-level, or ability can participate in any race! * No bikes permitted in the race. * We strongly discourage participants wearing headphones of any sort while racing for their own safety and so they can properly hear instructions on the course.* Kids in strollers must be with a parent registered in either the 10K/5K/1K. Kids in strollers must be properly buckled into the stroller, and we strongly encourage them to wear a helmet.  We also ask for all strollers to line up towards the back of the que when starting the race for everyone’s safety* If you or one of your party have a physical or developmental need that may require special accommodation please contact us at least one month prior to the event to discuss reasonable accommodations that may be available. 
WATER
There will be a water stations on the course and near the finish line.  Water is also available at the registration and refreshment area.
PACKET PICK-UP
Early packet pickup details will be announced the week prior to the race.  All other registrants can pick up their packets race day.
VOLUNTEERS
We need your help! If you’re available to assist us with registration, handing out water, and cheering on runners please sign up to volunteer between 7:00 AM -12:00 PM. As a thank you for your help all volunteers will receive a token for lunch from the Welcoming Hearts food tent after the race!
RACE SOUVENIERS
All participants who register for the 10K or 5K by October 10th will guaranteed a finishers medal and t-shirt.  1K Fun Run participants can purchase a t-shirt for $10 until October 10th.

1. First, sign up for the 5K or greater distance! 2. Once your registration is complete, you will receive a unique referral link in your confirmation email to share with your friends and family or post on social media. 3. Get 5 friends to sign up using your unique referral link and you will automatically receive a $15 refund. Boom!4. Get 5 more friends (10 total)  to join you using your unique referral link and get up to another $15 of your registration fee back.5. But if you can get 25 friends or family all in to race with you using your unique referral link, then we will give you $50 CASH!
PLUS, if your friends and family sign up through your referral link within 72 hours of you registering they will get a $5 discount automatically applied at checkout!
TEAM REWARDS
You can also potentially get up to $10 off each team member’s registration fee when you recruit a Race Team!1. First, create a Race Team while you’re signing up for any distance! 2. Invite your friends and family to sign up and join your team. (Pssst… they can use your unique referral link so you get the credit towards the referral swag!)3. After 10 members join the team all will get an automatic $5 refund on their registration fee! Plus a $5 discount for future team members.4. When your team reaches 25 members everyone will get another $5 refund! Plus a $10 discount for future team members. 
FUNDRAISING REWARDS
ALSO, you can get up to the full registration fee (minus other discounts, rewards and fees) back when you choose to become a individual fundraiser while signing up and requesting a refund if you raise at least $150 (must check the box during signup!).

* Registrations for all distances count towards the threshold requirements, but only registrations for ages 13 and up for distances 5K and greater races are eligible for refunds.* Friends must register with your referral link at the time of registration. Those who sign up without your link will not be added to your referral account.* Using a referral link is not required to join a Race Team. * Refunds will be automatically credited to the card you registered with within 20 days for reaching the required referral total.* Rewards combine but the maximum refund cannot exceed the registration fee paid, including any discounts. $5 of each registration is non-refundable. * Refund only applies to the registration fee portion of the entry.
