The event takes place at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, and supports the Command and General Staff College Foundation. It funds education for U.S. and international students, staff, and faculty. Participants enjoy a scenic course beginning and ending at the Frontier Army Museum. Finishers receive a custom shirt, medal, and have the opportunity to earn awards. Virtual participation is offered, allowing involvement from anywhere. The historic course weaves through Fort Leavenworth, providing a unique experience at the oldest active U.S. Army post west of the Mississippi River.
