This 18.7km stretch offers runners plenty of elevation challenges, with 550m of ascents and 2.230m of descents. Water supply points are distributed along the route every 5km, and runners will have the option of leaving or receiving their drop bag at the 21km mark, situated at 900m elevation.Downhill marathons are known to foster faster runs than level races, and Eker I Run Uludag Marathon is no exception. Its initial 10 km takes place above 1500m elevation, while the culminating 10 km dips below 300m elevation with only minor uphills.
