Duke Of Dough “Donut” Run 10 K, 5 K And Kids K

Don’t miss the annual Duke of Dough Donut Run! Register today for the 10K Run, 5K Run or Walk, and Kids K. Lace up your running shoes and get ready to tackle the fast and flat loop course located at Mariposa Basin Park. Late registrations for all events will be accepted at Packet Pickup.
 PLEASE NOTE: RACE-DAY REGISTRATION IS AVAILABLE; HOWEVER, ALL PRE-REGISTERED PARTICIPANTS ARE HIGHLY ENCOURAGED TO PICK UP THEIR EVENT PACKETS AT “PACKET PICK-UP.” 
Note: If you cannot pick up your packets in person at Packet Pickup, you must make arrangements for a representative to pick up your packet. Any out-of-town participants may pick up their packet on race morning at the registration area (Mariposa Basin Park).
ALL PARTICIPANTS WHO WOULD LIKE TO HAVE A POSTED TIME AT THE FINISH BE ENTERED INTO THE RESULTS AND BE ELIGIBLE FOR AGE GROUP AND OVERALL AWARDS MUST WEAR A TIMING CHIP/BIB. TIMING CHIPS/BIBS MUST BE WORN ON THE FRONT – OUTSIDE CLOTHING- OF THE PERSON.
 PARKING:
PLEASE USE DESIGNATED PARKING AREAS ONLY. DO NOT PARK ON ROADS AND/OR SIDEWALKS OR PEDESTRIAN BIKE PATHS. NOTE: AVAILABLE PARKING AT MARIPOSA BASIN PARK.
BATHROOM FACILITIES:
Bathrooms are available near the start/finish.
 START INFORMATION:
The start location for the 10K, 5K Run, 5K Walk, and Kids K is Mariposa Basin Park. Participants must be on the field (start) by 9:45 a.m. to be ready for the 10:00 a.m. start.
 FINISH INFORMATION: 
All participants will finish on the Mariposa Basin Park Field. 
Note: Kids K will start and finish on the field. 
RACE (BIB) REQUIREMENTS:
Each participant will receive a Race (Bib/Timing Chip) number that must be worn on race day. DO NOT alter your race number in any way. Your bib number must be visible and worn on the front outside of all clothing during the entire race to be seen. Bib numbers are non-transferable and MUST be worn by the runner to whom it is assigned.
DONUTS TO GO!
Do not forget to purchase your additional donuts at the event to take home. Donut worry, you will still have donuts for you at the finish!   
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
Can I run with an iPod/headphones?
Yes. USATF, the sport’s national governing body, amended its ban on headphones, iPods, and similar devices. 
Can I run with my GPS device?
Yes, participants may wear their GPS watches or devices. However, these items do not count as “second timing devices” and will not be recognized by the event as official times or distances.
What is NOT allowed on the course?
Participants are prohibited from using video devices, cell phones, computers, cameras, or similar devices in the event. Wheeled devices or any other person authorized to be on the course shall be strictly limited to (a) authorized and registered competitive wheelchair participants and (b) authorized course marshals on bicycles. Skateboards, rollerblades, unauthorized bicycles, or other wheeled devices will not be permitted.
Are baby joggers and strollers allowed?
If you choose to run with a baby jogger, you must seed yourself behind all other runners and register your child through the pusher’s original registration, at no charge, for a Rider Bib. It is your responsibility to ensure your baby jogger or stroller does not impede other runners, and you must take extra precautions to ensure your safety, your child’s safety, and the safety of the runners around you. We reserve the right to pull any participant from the race who is endangering other runners or themselves. Note: Your child must always be secured in a jogger or stroller.
Do you have a Lost and Found in case I lose something at the Event or on the racecourse?
Yes. We will have a Lost & Found for lost and found items on race day. If you are missing a personal item, please call 505.217.4774.
I am injured and/or cannot run the event (family commitment, work obligation, etc.). Can I get a refund, donate my entry, or transfer my entry to someone else?
No. Sale and/or transfer of race entry/bib are strictly prohibited and will result in disqualifying and/or banning any individuals involved from future events. All entry fees are non-refundable and cannot be deferred toward a future event. If I provide medical documentation of my injury or pregnancy, will you give me a refund?
No. Please refer to our official event rules and guidelines.
Can I defer my entry to the next year if I cannot run this year?
No, participants cannot defer their entries to the next year if they cannot run.
Can a friend pick up my packet if I cannot attend?
Yes. Your friend can pick up your packet for you.
Are dogs allowed? 
No! Due to the single-track trails, pedestrian paths, and space, dogs are not permitted. Please leave your dog at home.
 INCLEMENT WEATHER:
Weather forecasts will be monitored before the event, paying particular attention to the possibility of heavy rain, thunder and lightning, high winds, and extreme temperatures. If necessary, athletes will be made aware of these predictions on the RunFit website: www.irunfit.org so that participants can properly prepare for severe weather during the race and possible course alterations. Severe weather updates will also be sent to participants via email as necessary. The Race Director will monitor the weather and decide whether any action will be taken to modify the race. Possible changes include altering the start time for the race or, in extreme situations, canceling the event. Please listen closely to all public address announcements at the race’s starting line. Visible lightning will cause the race to be postponed for a minimum of 15 minutes. Additional sightings will continue to delay the race in 15-minute increments. If extreme heat is predicted, the athletes will be provided extra water before, during, and after the event. The medical team will be alerted that athletes may require additional medical attention during and after the event due to the high temperatures.
MEDICAL SUPPORT:
Medical staff members will be ready to assist you at any time. Radio communications personnel will be positioned along the course at every aid/water station.The event officials have the right to withdraw any runner from the race that appears distressed or at risk. You will be directed to the Medical Area near the finish if you have a health or medical problem at the Finish Line. Please cooperate if you are asked to go for a checkup. If you need help at any point, please ask for it!If you cannot finish the race, please notify a race official of your bib number so that the medical personnel know.
FINISH INFORMATION
All participants will finish on the Mariposa Basin Park Field (north). The overall and division award winners will be announced at the Awards Ceremony on race day – immediately following the Kids K. 
10K:
Overall prizes will be awarded to the top three men and women determined by gun time.Age group prizes will be given to the top three finishers in the following categories for men and women:   15 and under, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+. Award times will be determined by gun time.
 5K:
Overall prizes will be awarded to the top three men and women determined by gun time.Age group prizes will be given to the top three finishers in the following categories for men and women:  9 and under, 10-12, 13-15, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+. Award times will be determined by gun time.
KIDS K:
All registered participants (11 and under) can participate in the RunFit Kids K. The race will start at 10:15. The start and Finish are located on the Mariposa Basin Park Field (north). All participants will receive a special recognition award at the finish.
POST-RACE REFRESHMENTS: 
Post-race refreshments: Donuts and Dough (bread) will be served near the finish. Guests and others may purchase donuts at the event. 
 RESULTS:
Results will be posted immediately after the event near the finish as well as online at www.irunfit.org

Come join us on July 4, 2026 at Lake Perris Dam Perris Ca to celebrate our 1st Annual Independence Day Run.  Event details and scheduleMoreno Valley Road Runners Club will be celebrating our 1st Annual Independence fun run at Lake Perris State Recreation Area Dam 17801 Lake Perris Drive Perris, Ca 92571. On July 4, 2026, at 7:30 am. What: Don’t miss Southern California’s best fun run tradition! There will be a 1-mile kids race (ages 12 and under) and adorable little Trotters run (ages 3 and under). Everyone is welcome! Where: Enjoy a historic course along the Dam, referred to as The Lake Perris Dam. You’ll pass by such a notable lake. What a great way to see the beautiful lake in the morning. Course: The race starts and finishes at the Dam. This is a flat long course with no traffic. When: July 4, 2026. Packet picks up open at 7:30 Am.  Race Start Times:The little trotters run starts at 8:00 AM, The kid’s 1-mile race starts at 8:15 AM, the 5K and 10K start at 8:30 AM. Awards: Top 3 boys and girls in the 1-mile race, Top 3 open Males and Females in the 5K and 10K cash price.  Top 3 cash price in the 5K $100, $75 and $50. Top 3 cash price in the 10K, $200, $175 and $150.  Giving away: Medals to all participants and 50 first sign-ups will get a t-shirt. Fees: Little trotters are free (ages 3 and under), the kid’s 1-mile race is $5.00, the 5K race is $20.00, 10K is $25.00. All fees are the same on race day. ABOUT THIS EVENTThe 5k course is on flat, paved roads in Kerkhoven. The 10k course is mostly paved roads with about 1.5 miles of mowed grass on the golf course. There is also a short distance of gravel road. Water stops every couple of miles. After the run, there will be children’s games and a children’s tractor pull, a flea market, firemen’s feed, kiddie rides, swimming and a parade, all part of the annual Kerkhoven Town and Country Days.Please feel free to stay and enjoy the day.
