For all athletes you must bring a signed waiver. Race day pick-up is available but not recommended as race morning is very busy with parking, warming up, and getting to the start line.  If you are picking up your packet or registering on race morning please show up earlier than you normally would to allow time to do so.  We will not be able to process new registration or hand out packets once the races start.  Gear check will be provided. Picking up race materials/packet for another participant(s):In order to allow your packet to be picked up by anyone else but yourself, we require both of the following:1. Signed Online Waiver(s) by participant2. Photocopy/picture of participant’s driver licenseIMPORTANT: If you are picking up for a couple, both people must sign their own waivers!!! Aid Stations: There are three hydration points along the route located at mile 1.4, 3.5 and 4.7. All aid stations have water and electrolyte drink mix.  Race Day Parking: Tidelands Park is located at 2000 Mullinex Dr, Coronado, CA 92118 has approx 200 parking spots.  The neighborhoods around Coronado offer plenty of on street parking if you do not park in Tidelands Park. It is highly recommended that you carpool with friends for the race and arrive early.  Bag Check: A bag check is available at the start line for your convenience.  Awards: Vday Pint glasses awarded to the overall winners and the Top 3 in Age Group (couples are placed in their respective individual award categories with the individual participants).  Age Groups and Categories:  10K      – Male      – Female Top 3 Overall  14 and younger 15-19    20-24      25-29   30-34     35-39       40-44    45-49       50-54       55-59     60-69      70-74 75-79 80-84 85+ Couples – Posted the following day 5K      – Male      – Female Top 3 Overall  9 and younger 10-14 15-19    20-24      25-29   30-34     35-39       40-44    45-49       50-54       55-59     60-69      70-74 75-79 80-84 85+ Couples – Posted the following day Baby joggers or strollers: If you choose to run with a baby jogger, please seed yourself toward the back of the start line.  It is your responsibility to make sure the baby jogger does not impede other runners, and you must take extra precaution to ensure your safety, your child’s safety and the safety of the runners around you.  We reserve the right to pull any person from the race who is endangering other runners or themselves. Pets: Pets are not allowed on the course. This is to ensure runner safety and comply with liability insurance policies. Headphones: iPods, mp3 players, etc are not recommended during the race.  If you do run with headphones, it is requested that you keep one ear free to be able to hear safety vehicles. Transfers:  There are no transfers or refunds. While this may seem harmless to the parties perpetrating the unauthorized bib transfer, it does convey serious consequences to the organizers and participant field alike. From race results to finishers’ awards being impacted as well as medical staff being able to correctly identify participants in need of treatment, it is imperative that the registration data associated with your race number does in fact belong to you, the participant.
