The Blue Blaze Festival is a celebration of outdoor adventures on the Buckeye Trail, welcoming trail runners, hikers, and backpackers. Participants can explore the scenic and challenging terrain of the Buckeye Trail in Wayne National Forest, experiencing events organized with Destination Shawnee, Tecumseh Theater, and outdoor groups. Beginning and ending in the Village of Shawnee, the festival offers trail running, hiking, and backpacking opportunities. Runners and hikers will traverse mainly single-track trails, with challenging and hilly conditions. After the activities, participants can enjoy local food and festivities in the historic Village of Shawnee.
