Brain Health to Beat Stroke 5K Walk, Run or Roll – A Fast Track to Stroke Awareness

COURSE:5K In-Person – will start next to the lush green lawn of the DeRosa University Center building. We will head north across the foot bridge where it will turn west on the northside of the Calaveras River. The mostly paved path winds along the river into the Brookside area for a turn around and return to finish back at the University Campus.
5K Virtual – Run, Walk or Roll where you want, and when you want between August 6,-August 20th. Download the IYR App on your phone and automatically upload your results. You can also manually input your time. 
1-Mile Survivor Champion Walk – We will make our way around the UOP Campus. For stroke survivors and others who are recovering from a brain injury, we hope that you will participate at any level of ability. Sign up for the Champion’s Walk or Roll. We all know someone who has been affected by stroke. Honor them by joining us and or donating in their honor.
FEES:5K In-Person – May 1st $40., June 1st-$45., July 1st-$505K Virtual – May 1st-$30., June 1st-$35., July 1st-$40 If you would like your Goodie Bag mailed, there will be a $5.00 charge.Champion Walk – Individual – May 1st $35., June 1st-$40., July 1st-$45. Free to all Survivors. Fees include a finisher medal, brain freeze ice cream, goodie bag and either a custom snap-back hat or event t-shirt.
PACKET PICKUP:Early packet pickup is available at Fleet Feet Stockton, 265 Lincoln Center, Stockton, Friday, August 11th from Noon to 6:00pm for those that registered by Thursday, August 10th. If you registered after August 10th, or cannot make it to early packet pickup, you can pick up your packet on race day from 7:00am to 8:15am at the event site.
AWARDS:5K In-Person – Overall male/female and masters. 3 deep in the following age group categories: 9 & under, 10-13, 14-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80+5K Virtual – Not eligible for age group awards.

ABOUT THIS EVENTThe 5k course is on flat, paved roads in Kerkhoven. The 10k course is mostly paved roads with about 1.5 miles of mowed grass on the golf course. There is also a short distance of gravel road. Water stops every couple of miles. After the run, there will be children’s games and a children’s tractor pull, a flea market, firemen’s feed, kiddie rides, swimming and a parade, all part of the annual Kerkhoven Town and Country Days.Please feel free to stay and enjoy the day. REGISTRATION INFORMATIONPre-registration closes July 22nd at 8:00pm. Race day registration from 7:00am to 8:00am.
