The Black Hills Veteran’s Honor March is a tribute event honoring the sacrifices of servicemen and women, set in the scenic Black Hills National Forest along the Mickelson Trail. Created by South Dakota Army National Guard soldiers, the march honors all veterans and aligns with the spirit of the Bataan Memorial Death March. The event is supported by the South Dakota National Guard Enlisted Association and has grown to include a wide range of participants, offering diverse endurance challenges such as individual and team events for both military and civilians, including options with a weighted rucksack.
