The Back Your Badge Marathon is a premier race event sponsored by the Town of Plainfield to support Public Safety Agencies, including Police, Fire, and Communications. Participants run through various town features, such as historic US 40 and the Plainfield Parks Trail System, with the opportunity to choose a specific agency to support. Each mile contributes to the overall total for the selected agency, with the top agency earning bragging rights and a trophy. Proceeds benefit Public Safety Beneficent programs, Local Youth Assistance programs, and a Paramedic Scholarship program.
