Air Line Trail Ghost Run/Relay

The Parks & Recreation Departments of Hebron, Colchester, and East Hampton are collaborating along with the State of CT Department of Energy and Environmental Protection to host our 21st Annual Ghost Run!  The 13.1 mile certified half marathon course follows the historic Air Line Trail for roughly 11 miles, through pristine and picturesque rural Connecticut Forests and small towns.  The trail is mostly flat with packed stone, gravel, and earthen material.  
Runners registered by October 1st will receive a race T-Shirt.  Registration deadline is October 0th.  PREREGISTRATION IS REQUIRED.  There is no day of registration available.  
Early Bib pickup is scheduled for Friday November 1st from 8am-3pm at the Burnt Hill Park Office Building (148 East Street, Hebron, CT, 06248)
$50 Individual Runner / $100 Relay Team
This event is for runners only, we are unable to accommodate walkers.  We do understand that runners may need to walk periodically.  
This event does not allow dogs.
Course
The race begins at Hebron Elementary School located on Route 85.Runners will run south on Route 85 for about 2 miles and pick up the Air Line Trail behind Juliano’s Pools.The race continues on the Air Line Trail through Colchester and into East Hampton. At the Trail Head runners will continue on the trail to Watrous Street, to Summit Street.Follow Summit Street to Center ElementarySchool.Shuttle Buses will be available for all the runners in each direction.
RELAY LEGS:#1. Start to Grayville Road – Hebron (3.6 mi.)#2. Grayville Road to River Road Overpass – Colchester (4.2 mi.)#3. River Road Overpass to Finish Line – Center School, East Hampton (5.3 mi.)
RELAY RUNNERS: Shuttle buses will dropyou off and pick you up at designatedlocations (see shuttle bus schedule).
SHUTTLE BUS SCHEDULE:Bus 1 Depart Center School in East Hampton (7 Summit St.) at approx. 7:45AMtransport runners to Hebron Elementary School (Rt. 85 in Hebron), stay atHebron Elementary School and be the shuttle for Grayville Road Relaylocation, drop runners off and stay at this location until runners have reachedthis relay leg of the race. Leave Hebron Elementary School at 8:45AM justbefore the race starts and head to the Grayville Road location. Return runnersback to Hebron Elementary school then to Center School in East Hampton.Stay at Center School and return runners to Hebron Elementary School on arotating basis through the rest of the race as needed.
Bus 2 Depart Center School in East Hampton at approx. 8:10AM transportrunners to Hebron Elementary School, Rt. 85 Hebron. Stay at HebronElementary School and be the shuttle for the River Road Underpass relaylocation. Leave from Hebron Elementary School at 9:05AM or just after therace starts. Proceed to River Road underpass, drop off runners and stay at thislocation until runners have reached this relay leg. Transport these arrivingrunners to Center School in East Hampton. Stay at Center School and returnrunners to Hebron Elementary School on a rotating basis as needed.
Bus 3 Depart Center School in East Hampton at approximately 8:25AMtransport runners to Hebron Elementary School, rt. 85 Hebron, return toCenter School and return runners to Hebron Elementary School on a rotatingbasis through-out the rest of the day as needed.
Bus 4 Shuttle from Hebron Elementary School to Grayville Road relay location.The bus will leave Hebron Elementary School just after the race starts. Thisbus will wait to leave Grayville Road until after the last runner crosses.Bus 5 Shuttle between Center School and Hebron Elementary Schoolthroughout the day starting at 8:00AM.

Come join us on July 4, 2026 at Lake Perris Dam Perris Ca to celebrate our 1st Annual Independence Day Run.  Event details and scheduleMoreno Valley Road Runners Club will be celebrating our 1st Annual Independence fun run at Lake Perris State Recreation Area Dam 17801 Lake Perris Drive Perris, Ca 92571. On July 4, 2026, at 7:30 am. What: Don’t miss Southern California’s best fun run tradition! There will be a 1-mile kids race (ages 12 and under) and adorable little Trotters run (ages 3 and under). Everyone is welcome! Where: Enjoy a historic course along the Dam, referred to as The Lake Perris Dam. You’ll pass by such a notable lake. What a great way to see the beautiful lake in the morning. Course: The race starts and finishes at the Dam. This is a flat long course with no traffic. When: July 4, 2026. Packet picks up open at 7:30 Am.  Race Start Times:The little trotters run starts at 8:00 AM, The kid’s 1-mile race starts at 8:15 AM, the 5K and 10K start at 8:30 AM. Awards: Top 3 boys and girls in the 1-mile race, Top 3 open Males and Females in the 5K and 10K cash price.  Top 3 cash price in the 5K $100, $75 and $50. Top 3 cash price in the 10K, $200, $175 and $150.  Giving away: Medals to all participants and 50 first sign-ups will get a t-shirt. Fees: Little trotters are free (ages 3 and under), the kid’s 1-mile race is $5.00, the 5K race is $20.00, 10K is $25.00. All fees are the same on race day. On race day we take cash, Venmo, Cash app, and Zelle. The entrance to the park will be $20.00. ABOUT THIS EVENTThe 5k course is on flat, paved roads in Kerkhoven. The 10k course is mostly paved roads with about 1.5 miles of mowed grass on the golf course. There is also a short distance of gravel road. Water stops every couple of miles. After the run, there will be children’s games and a children’s tractor pull, a flea market, firemen’s feed, kiddie rides, swimming and a parade, all part of the annual Kerkhoven Town and Country Days.Please feel free to stay and enjoy the day. REGISTRATION INFORMATIONPre-registration closes July 22nd at 8:00pm. Race day registration from 7:00am to 8:00am.
