MiWay Wally Hayward Marathon
The MiWay Wally Hayward Marathon is a renowned event that honors one of South Africa’s legendary athletes, having been a staple in the country’s road running scene for nearly half a century. The marathon begins and ends at the Centurion Rugby Club, conveniently located next to Super Sport Park in Centurion. Enthusiasts from around the globe can participate in various races, including the 42.2 km marathon, 21.1 km half-marathon, 10 km race, a 5 km fun run, and a 1 km kiddies run. Recognized as the third largest marathon in South Africa by Runner’s World magazine, the event attracts thousands of athletes annually. Participants are required to register online, with different entry fees applicable for each race. A temporary license fee applies for those not affiliated with a running club.
