Liberia Marathon

The Liberia Marathon 2022 will take place on Sunday, August 21, 2022 and will feature three distances: a full marathon (42.2k), a half marathon (21.1k) and the famous 10k races, allowing both abled and disabled athletes to participate. With 2,000 anticipated participants, this will be the largest road-running event in Liberia to date. The Liberia Marathon Trust, a non-profit organization, is committed to providing road-running outlets and events on international standards for Liberian professional athletes and the general public, creating development linkages through sports and promoting Liberian long-distance talent. This extraordinary civic event reflects the resilience of Liberians and the country’s successful efforts towards development, and will provide a unique chance for Liberian and international athletes to compete in a global standard running event.
