Runners will begin at an elevation of approximately 4500 feet, navigating through diverse high desert vegetation such as Joshua Trees, Pinion-Juniper, Mountain Rose, and Sagebrush. Participants will explore the relatively lush Toiyabe National Forest, a rarity near Las Vegas. The course winds through captivating canyon roads, a true gem of the Spring Mountains National Recreation Area and the Las Vegas Valley. The start and finish line is conveniently located at the junction of Lovell Canyon Road and Highway 160, just a short drive from the Strip. The event is conducted in the Spring Mountains National Recreation Area with appropriate permits.
