Kick off the shipping season by joining the Freighter Festival of Races in Sault Sainte Marie. Hosted by Yooper Running Company, the event features a Run and Walk headquartered at Avery Square. Participants can enjoy stunning views of freighters along the St. Mary’s River. Post-race, browse a unique craft show inside Avery Square. All participants receive a medal, with overall and age group category awards available. Various aid stations are spread throughout the course, and an early race packet pickup is available. Volunteers are welcome to assist in several areas and receive benefits for future races.
