Dunhuang Marathon
Experience the glory and thousand-year-old culture of the Dunhuang Desert by participating in the unique endeavor of the Dunhuang Marathon. As the first marathon in China to venture into the desert, the marathon seamlessly combines sports and tourism, taking runners through Mingsha Mountain and Crescent Moon Spring. Runners have the opportunity to encounter adorable desert creatures, as well as immerse themselves in the stunning natural scenery of Mingsha Mountain Crescent Spring. Once known as “the loneliest track,” runners can have a solitary conversation with themselves and the vast Gobi Desert, all the while experiencing the pride of a northwest marathon.
