The Roof of the World Marathon (ROWM) – Tibet China

Following the Roof of the World Marathon 2024, which took place from May 2nd to May 9th, 2024, we extended our stay in Tibet for an additional 6 days to ensure the best possible preparation for the runners participating in the Roof of the World Marathon 2025. Here are five compelling reasons to participate in the Roof of the World Marathon 2025: 1) You will have the opportunity to run the highest elevation marathon in the world, starting at 5213m/17103ft, which is even higher than the Mt. Everest Base Camp! 2) Throughout the Roof of the World Marathon, you will experience the unique seasons of Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter. 3) Immerse yourself in the authentic culture and lifestyle of the local people living on the Roof of the World. 4) As a participant, you will receive a personalized medal engraved with your name, making it the only one of its kind in the world. 5) Prior to the Roof of the World Marathon 2025, you will also have the rare opportunity to participate in the 24th Great Wall of China Marathon on May 1st, 2025 in Beijing. You are welcome to run the 5K, 10K, or half marathon before embarking on the Roof of the World Marathon. To ensure a comfortable experience during the Roof of the World Marathon 2025, please remember to bring your warmest clothes and sunglasses. All participants will gather in Beijing on May 1st, 2025, and we will take the flight together from Beijing to Lhasa on May 2nd, 2025 with the official Permit to Tibet. If you register before May 31, 2024, you will receive a complimentary stay at the official 4-star hotel, Mercure Beijing, for the Great Wall of China Marathon 2025 on May 1st, 2025, as well as on May 9th, 2025, the day we return to Beijing from Tibet.
