Around 5,000 runners headed down to the East Lothian coastline to take on the stunning, flat routes. The 10K was part of the event for the first time and was run on much of the same route as the half marathon, resulting in some impressive fast times across the board. The half marathon saw around 4,000 runners cross the finish line, each with their own reason for running.The route is seriously flat & rapid – if you want to set a personal best for a half marathon, then this is the event for you. Starting conveniently at 11am just outside Edinburgh, you run along the magnificent Golf Coast before finishing in the final furlong at Musselburgh Racecourse, Scotland’s oldest racecourse.
