Mike Ariens Run/Walk

The inaugural Mike Ariens Run/Walk is a community event presented by AriensCo in Brillion, Wisconsin, to promote health, wellness and community in honor of the late Mike Ariens. The 10K and 5k run/walk features a route along the Mike Ariens “Run for Life” Trail, AriensCo conservation land, through downtown Brillion and the trail system at Ariens Nordic Center. The Kids Run will use Ariens Nordic Center trails exclusively. All ages and levels are welcome to enjoy the distance of their choosing: 10K, 5K or a Kids 1K Fun Run.
Several elements of the Mike Ariens Run/Walk are unique to further remember and honor Mike. Mike loved to run and always wore a bucket hat. He also loved ice cream! To this day, AriensCo employees remember Mike every year on his birthday with an ice cream treat. Every participant and volunteer will receive a Mike Ariens Run/Walk Bucket Hat and will enjoy an ice cream treat at the finish line celebration!
Race day is Saturday, Aug. 19, with an 8:00 a.m. start at AriensCo corporate office (Plant 1) for the 10K, followed by the 5K start and the Kids Fun Run at 10 a.m. The Kids 1K Fun Run will start at Ariens Nordic Center. All races finish at Ariens Nordic Center where participants can enjoy ice cream and to receive their Mike Ariens Run/Walk medals. Awards for top finishers in each race in both men’s and women’s (as well as boys and girls) categories will also be presented!
Packet Pick-Up:
Registrants can pick up their packets at the Ariens Nordic Center Trailhead building on Friday, August 18th from 10am-8pm. 
You are allowed to pick up packets for other participants. 
Day of Packet Pick-Up:
10K and 5k participants can pick up their packets at the start line at the Ariens Co Corporate Headquarters (Plant 1) the day of the race from 7:00am-7:45am
Kids Run registrants can pick up their packets at the Ariens Nordic Center Trailhead building from 8:00am-9:45am

On July 4, 2026, at 7:30 am. What: Don’t miss Southern California’s best fun run tradition! There will be a 1-mile kids race (ages 12 and under) and adorable little Trotters run (ages 3 and under). Everyone is welcome! Where: Enjoy a historic course along the Dam, referred to as The Lake Perris Dam. You’ll pass by such a notable lake. What a great way to see the beautiful lake in the morning. Course: The race starts and finishes at the Dam. This is a flat long course with no traffic. When: July 4, 2026. Packet picks up open at 7:30 Am.  Race Start Times:The little trotters run starts at 8:00 AM, The kid’s 1-mile race starts at 8:15 AM, the 5K and 10K start at 8:30 AM. Awards: Top 3 boys and girls in the 1-mile race, Top 3 open Males and Females in the 5K and 10K cash price.  Top 3 cash price in the 5K $100, $75 and $50. Top 3 cash price in the 10K, $200, $175 and $150.  Giving away: Medals to all participants and 50 first sign-ups will get a t-shirt. Fees: Little trotters are free (ages 3 and under), the kid’s 1-mile race is $5.00, the 5K race is $20.00, 10K is $25.00. All fees are the same on race day. ABOUT THIS EVENTThe 5k course is on flat, paved roads in Kerkhoven. The 10k course is mostly paved roads with about 1.5 miles of mowed grass on the golf course. There is also a short distance of gravel road. Water stops every couple of miles. After the run, there will be children’s games and a children’s tractor pull, a flea market, firemen’s feed, kiddie rides, swimming and a parade, all part of the annual Kerkhoven Town and Country Days.Please feel free to stay and enjoy the day.
