The “Run With a Little Extra” Trail Run and Walk is hosted to support the Down Syndrome Association of Brazos Valley (DSABV). Held at Millican Reserve, this professionally timed, chipped event navigates scenic trails rather than paved paths. Participants who register early receive a collectible t-shirt, finisher medal, and Rudy’s breakfast tacos. DSABV, founded in 2002, focuses on enabling individuals with Down syndrome to achieve independence through community support and activities. The event, named to honor the extra chromosome in Down syndrome, offers an optional, extra run segment, symbolizing pride and awareness.
