The Clewiston Sugar Festival celebrates the end of the sugarcane harvest season, originating in the 1930s when United States Sugar Corporation held events honoring their workers. In gratitude to the sugar industry that fuels the local economy, this event has evolved into a community-wide celebration featuring live entertainment, cane grinding, a car show, a kids’ park, and local cuisine. It also includes a rodeo, a bass tournament on Lake Okeechobee, and Seminole Heritage Day at the Clewiston Museum. This family-friendly festival invites everyone to experience the rich history and vibrant community spirit in the Clewiston area.
