Make your footprints count & join us for the annual BB&T Corporate Cup 5K and Half-Marathon on Saturday, March 10th. Kicking off the Charlotte running season, this fundraiser is the YMCA of Greater Charlotte’s largest road race with more than 3,200 runners in 2017. With the community’s support, the race raised more than $200,000 for the Y’s Annual Campaign, enabling the Y to offer programs and services that nurture the potential of kids and teens, promote healthy living, foster a sense of social responsibility and strengthen the foundations of community.
The race starts & ends in Uptown Charlotte and is perfect for runners and walkers of all levels – beginner to expert – with a 5K, half-marathon & half-marathon relay distance. Celebrate the race finish with a post-race party in Uptown Charlotte with music, free food and over 20 vendors.
2018 marks the 10th annual Team Challenge, a friendly competition amongst Charlotte area businesses & community groups. Teams earn points for runner / walker participation, volunteerism, team spirit and giving back to the community. The team with the most points wins the actual “Corporate Cup” award & earns bragging rights as the team most committed to healthy living & social responsibility in 2018. Previous winners include RSM, Duke Energy, Clariant & MetsoPower.
